Conejo Valley Archer's Banner

Conejo Valley Archers, Inc (CVA) is a membership-based Archery Club serving Ventura and Western Los Angeles Counties.  We maintain a 28 target NFAA outdoor range in Simi Valley.  Our range is located in Tapo Canyon Park, Simi Valley California, (see map & aerial photo)

We are coming up on the Five Year Anniversary of the October 2003 Simi Fire that just about put us out of business (photos).  Once again, we would like to thank everyone that helped us put the range back together. Thanks again for all your donations and hard work.

We would also like to thank the 160+ archers that just shot our Pacific Coast 3D Adventure (photos & scores) on Sunday February 10, 2008.  Your support made this our most successful 3D in years.  The tournament was well represented with members from eight different archery clubs attending.  In addition to the many compound shooters that attended, we also had over 40 long bow shooters, and another 35 recurve shooters.

We just hosted our 2nd "Wet & Wild or Dry and Dusty" (new photos) on Sunday March 9, 2008.  A lot of folks had a great time shooting this Thirty (30) Target Marked 3D Tournament as you can see from the photos!  Thanks for coming out and shooting it.  Your support  is appreciated.  We're going to have a very similar tournament in October 2008 (check back for details).

Our 17th Pacific Coast Traditional Challenge is coming up on May 3 & 4, 2008.  It is a two-day extravaganza with lots of vendor participation and a variety of shooting events.  On Saturday we will have our 13 target warm-up shoot, and our famous 13 target Smoker round.  On Sunday, is the actual 50 Target 3D Animal Round.  Our Challenge (photos) is considered by many to be one of the premiere Traditional Tournaments, and was given an excellent review by archeryweb.com.

Archery is a sport for all ages.   Halloween?

Our club members shoot is in all styles including Longbow, Recurve, and Compound.  Whatever you shoot, you'll find someone in the club that does the same.

Saturday Morning in JOAD class is lot's of funContact any of our officers for information on joining the club or attending one of our Club Shoots as a guest. Our Club Shoots are held on the fourth Sunday of every month at 12 noon. Winners of 1996 CVA Annual Trophies

We track the scores for each shooter in each of our club shoots and award major trophies in several categories at the fun shoot in October, the end of our club year. The folks in the picture can attest to the good feelings that go with those awards. Click on the picture for a full size version.

We host training in archery skills through a Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) program which meets for practice, good coaching, and good fun from 9:00 am until 1 pm every Saturday.  JOAD Membership runs $10 a year.  There is also a $3 fee per Saturday session to shoot.  While our JOAD Program is held on the range of Conejo Valley Archers, Membership in CVA is not required to attend.  Adult beginners may attend these sessions as well.
